Algal bioluminescence performance at Lux Helsinki 2019

  • Artist Vespa Laine and Conny Sjöqvistii, PhD showcased the bioluminescence of dinoflagellate Alexandrium ostenfeldii isolates in their performance with Fern Orchestra entitled “Breath” at the Lux Helsinki Festival in January 2019

  • I maintained responsibility for growing and transporting 70 L of the ideal, most bioluminescent strain of Alexandrium ostenfeldii used for the exhibit

Check out this video describing the Lux Helsinki 2019 exhibit (mostly in Finnish), featuring yours truly.
